In 2003 the below map was created by the USDA with the most current temperature data for Georgia. However, the revision has not been “officially” released by the USDA due to some disputes. The National Arbor Day Foundation couldn't wait for the USDA to release their map so they have already released their copy. It does reinforce what we are hearing from many of our customers in that most Zone 8 plants are overwintering for us with a little mulching and protection.
